Sabrina's Tips

Signatures

When signing any applications, petitions or other documents for USCIS, please keep the following in mind:

Tip #2: Use BLUE ink for all signatures on any forms for USCIS.

Certain immigration offices have been known to reject whole applications and petitions due to signatures that have been made using black ink. Here's why: the immigration offices claim that they are unable to tell if the signatures are originals or not when made in black ink.

Randall Quoted in 8 SF Bay Area Newspapers Today on Surge of Immigrants Applying for U.S. Citizenship

I was quoted today in 8 San Francisco Bay Area newspapers on the recent surge of immigrants applying for U.S. Citizenship. See http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/localnews/ci_4182996 for a link to the Oakland Tribune article.

My legal assistant, Sabrina, and I have become quite adept at dealing with all of the issues that can arise in Naturalization cases (applications for U.S. Citizenship). We also give our clients applying for U.S. Citizenship a set of flash cards that have all 96 questions and answers for the U.S. History & Political Science part of becoming a U.S. Citizen. 4 of the questions are not asked any longer, due to there being multiple correct answers (whoever created the 100 questions and answers failed to realize this, as did the multiple levels of govt. bureaucracy that reviewed the 100 questions & answers).

Feel free to call us for a free phone consultation on any U.S. Citizenship questions you may have. We would also be honored to represent you in becoming a U.S. Citizen.

Refugee Children & Angelina Jolie

An amazing organization helping refugees and children around the world is the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. If you want to donate to a great cause, this definitely qualifies. See www.refugees.org for more info and http://www.refugees.org/donate.aspx?subm=25&area=Donate in order to donate.

I serve as a mentor immigration attorney for other attorneys taking on volunteer cases with the National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children section of the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants.

See http://www.refugees.org/nationalcenter for info on how this organization helps refugee children from around the world.

This is the organization that Angelina Jolie has generously donated to and speaks about in her interviews.
